How to become a member?

Becoming a member of the ‘Volkssterrenwacht Beisbroek vzw’- Public Observatory Beisbroek – association is not expensive and opens many opportunities. It is possible to use the infrastructure, follow courses, borrow books from the library,… A combined membership with the national VVS (Association of Astronomy) is not necessary but is recommended: In that case you receive the magazine Heelal and the yearly astronomical almanac (Hemelkalender) – together something like 500 pages astronomical literature. Youngsters below 21 receive Astra, the magazine from the Youth Association for Astronomy (JVS), for free as well.

Exhibition

Cozmix is proud to present you a permanent interactive exposition about astronomy. During group visits extra explanations about astronomical themes are given, but the exposition is also made very attractive to discover the secrets of the universe at individual pace.

Cozmix

Cozmix is the visitor centre of the Public Observatory Beisbroek (Bruges). A visit to Cozmix is a real thrill where individual visitors and groups are welcomed. You can admire the sky by day and by night. With our telescopes you can discover the moon, the planets, spectacular nebulae and distant galaxies. On our dome shaped projection screen in the planetarium, not only the stars and constellations are shown, but also the most spectacular video shows accompanied by appropriate music are projected with the full dome video system. Resulting in a unique audio visual sensation. Fly with us over the surface of Mars, and through the rings of Saturn ! Learn more about planets beyond our own solar system and eventual life in the universe.
